50th Anniversary Celebrations Launched

The year-long celebrations to mark Barbados’ 50th Anniversary of Independence have been officially launched.

Hundreds of Barbadians and visitors converged at Independence Square in Bridgetown to hear Prime Minister Freundel Stuart address the nation and see top local acts take the stage, including The Mighty Gabby, Red Plastic Bag, Emile Straker, Rupee, Shontelle and the Royal Barbados Police Force Band.
